La Maison d'hôtes de la Cité Portugaise is located in El Jadida, a beautiful seaside town on the Atlantic Coast a mere 50 miles south of Casablanca by motorway.
Entering the first-floor level of our charming little riad, you will find a Moroccan-style lounge with TV and DVD player, an open-air patio, four comfortable bedrooms with hot and cold water and two bathrooms with showers. The second-floor terrace boasts a bar with a hi-fi sound system, (Festive evening with a drink offered every Wednesday evening and June 21), a Berber-style lounge and breakfast area. The third-floor terrace is geared for sunbathing and provides you with a superb rooftop view of the city, the beach and the ocean.

As far as leisure activities are concerned, you can choose between going swimming, fishing, hiking, ride a bicycle (hiking on place), horseback riding, playing golf or indulging in water sports. Try out a hammam (Turkish bath), eat excellent fish, tagines and couscous, either on the spot or in one of the many restaurants within walking distance of the riad.. In the evening, enjoy concerts or free shows on the beach all summer, Nightclubs are open all year long.
The climate mild and temperate guarantees sun almost all year. It is located at 4h30 of Tangier, 1h10 of Casablanca, 2h30 of Marrakesh and 3h30 of Essaouira.
Bedrooms description:
The 'Saumon and Marine' rooms have a double bed, a wardrobe closet, and a small coffee table with stools.
Equipment: 2 Moroccan lamps, an alarm-clock radio, a desk lamp for reading in bed, and a wash basin with hot and cold water
The 'chambre Bleue' room has two twin beds, a wardrobe closet, a Moroccan lamp, an alarm-clock radio and a wash basin with hot and cold water.
The 'suite Bleue' room offers you a Queen-size bed as well as a sofa bed, adding sleeping capacity for two additional persons.
Facilities: a large antique-style wardrobe closet, a copper and wrought-iron wash basin with hot water, Moroccan lamps, a ceiling fan, a television with DVD, and an alarm-clock radio.
The “Essaouira” room (with double bed), is situated in the new part of our guesthouse. It has beside others, an ensuite bathroom and a balcony.

The “Magic Cistern” room (with twin beds) is situated in the new part (Riad El Ksar) and has a French door on indoor. It offers an ensuite bathroom, a television LCD, a ceiling fan , moroccan lamps, a cupboard with drawers, moroccan stools, a wardrobe...
The “Chefchaouen” room is situated in the Riad part .
It offers a Queen-size bed, an ensuite bathroom, a television LCD, a ceiling fan , lamps to read in bed, a dressing table with mirror and a wardrobe.
The Ouarzazate room is situated in the Riad part to the ground-floor .
It offers a king size bed and a single bed (3 pax), an ensuite bathroom, a television LCD, a ceiling fan , lamps to read in bed, a dressing table with mirror and a wardrobe
The 'Oualidia' room is situated in the Riad part . Situated at the level of terraces, it's equipped with a balcony offering a very nice view. Facilities: Double bed, ensuite bathroom, a television LCD, lamps to read in bed, a small table with armchairs and a wardrobe
We can add an extra mattress (for 5 € extra) in most of the bedrooms.
