This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Constantina.

Constantina is a town in the province of Seville, Andalusia, Spain. Constantina is located more than five hundred kilometers above sea level in the middle of a mountainous and thickly forested Sierra Norte National Park. Constantina is the largest town in the Sierra Norte National Park in Seville, which is home to hardwood trees like oaks and has rolling pastures that are suitable and beneficial for grazing livestock animals and cattle. The Sierra Norte National Park is also home to various flora and fauna, some of which are heavily endangered in the wild.

Constantina had been a settlement for ancient tribes like the Iberian Celts, most probably the Turdetani of Tartessos. Constantina has also been an important Roman town. Like many Andalusian towns, Constantina retained its medieval charm predominantly in the network of cobbled streets of Barrio La Morería. Constantina is located on the hill crowned by a ruin of a Moorish castle.

Most of the attractions in Constantina are the old churches that have the mixture of Catholic, Moorish, and Romanesque influences. These include the fourteenth-century Church of Mudejar; the Iglesia de la Encarnacion or the Church of Incarnation; and the Renaissance portal, the Puerta del Perdon or the Door of Mercy.

Because of its location on the hill, Constantina has steep streets and is splendid for afternoon walking and exploration. Constantina is one of the Pueblos Blancos or White Villages of Andalusia, towns and villages distinctive and well known for their houses and buildings with whitewashed walls and red- and brown-tiled roofs. Most of the villas and mansions are three hundred years old. The charm of Constantina can be found both discovering the quaint corners within the town and the peaceful nature of the surrounding mountainside.

Hostels in Constantina are open throughout the year to accommodate tourists, visitors, and nature lovers. All of Constantina hostels reflect the tranquility and gentleness of old-world countryside and the lush greenery of the nature park.
