Quepos, though not the most centrally based location to the national park or to beaches, definitely has the cheapest accommodation options. Hostels in Quepos are clean, secure, and spacious. Hostel staff members generally speak English as well as Spanish, and can usually provide information about local events and activities. Hostels in Quepos usually provide a range of different facilities and services, including spacious common areas, communal kitchens, book exchange, TV lounge, free Wi-Fi and internet, complimentary breakfast, and a hostel bar with nightly happy hour and drink specials. Quepos hostels have a friendly, social vibe, and offer an environment where solo travelers are likely to meet other like-minded travelers. Other than Quepos hostels, there are also hotels, guesthouses, resorts, and lodges. Make bookings in advance if visiting Quepos or the surrounding area during the peak seasons (Easter week and the weeks leading up to Christmas and New Year’s Eve), as it gets very busy during these times.
