This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Kusadasi.

In ancient times, Kusadasi was called Neapolis and it was supposedly founded by sick soldiers of Agamemnon’s army during the Trojan War. The heyday of Kuşadası began in late Antiquity and the early Middle Ages. Until the fifteenth century, the name of the city was Scala Nova, a commercial center of the Republic of Venice and the Republic of Genoa. In the early fifteenth century, the Ottomans conquered the city and it has been part of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey since then.

Kusadasi is now a popular destination for local and foreign tourists. The city is relatively small -- about seventy thousand people. It has a large marina and a port for cruise ships. The center, located near the harbor, is a car-free pedestrian zone. There are many beaches with fine sand near and around Kusadasi. There are restaurants and pubs which serve delicious and not very expensive food in big portions. The City Beach, a small beach with a view of the cruise ships, is located just in front of the harbor. The Ladies Beach is two kilometers from the city center. The eighteen-kilometer-long sandy beach between Long Beach Kusadasi and Guezelcamli is shallow, and therefore safe even for people who cannot swim very well.

Kusadasi is a good Turkish resort and Kusadasi hostels confirm that the city has something for any traveler. There are plenty Kusadasi hostels and almost all of them offer great conditions, such as clean and modern rooms but often you can try delicious Turkish food at a symbolic price. The bed prices for hostels in Kusadasi are also very competitive and you can find great Kusadasi hostels at very low rates. The location of most hostels in Kusadasi is very near the ferry station and the hostels literally face each other. Of course, there are also Kusadasi hostels in other parts of the city.
