Cessnock (Hunter Valley), New South Wales, Australia, is one of the major centres in the Hunter Valley, a fertile region extending approximately two hundred kilometres northwest from Newcastle. It’s a friendly area, and a sojourn there is highly recommended, as it gives independent travelers the opportunity to experience genuine Australian country hospitality. Cessnock is especially famous for its many wineries, which are mainly situated in nearby Pokolbin -- about eleven kilometres away.
