This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in El Paso.

El Paso (literally "the pass") is the county seat of El Paso County, Texas, and is known throughout the United States as an excellent tourist destination spot. Known chiefly for being the nexus of the border between Mexico and the United States, it is also known for its large number of Hispanic and Mexican inhabitants. El Paso is generally considered a somewhat tropical place at best, making it a prime tourist destination spot, especially during the summer months. As this is Texas, it contains some stretches of dry land but with an equal inclusion of large bodies of greenland, forests, and sizable bodies, most of which make for excellent natural wonders to see.

If you’re a nature person, El Paso offers a number of wonderful nature parks and gardens that showcase the excellent settings and diverse flora and fauna that the area has to offer. Among the best picks are the Franklin Mountains State Park, the Hueco Tanks State Historic Site, and the Thousand Steps Trail -- each of which offer a distinct angle of El Paso with its own climate, sights, and intrinsic immersive experience.

If you’re after a little piece of history to go along with your sightseeing, this culturally rich and diverse city boasts the El Paso Museum of Art, the El Paso Museum of Archeology, and the Tigua Indian Center, among many other museums and galleries that showcase its rich and variegated history. El Paso also boasts a wide number of theaters and galleries, which appeal to the more artistically inclined. The El Paso Playhouse, the Plaza Theatre, and El Paso Symphony Orchestra are just some of the theatre and arts establishments found all throughout the city that offer some of the finest entertainment you'll find.

If you’re after a place to crash upon your arrival, there are options for El Paso hostels and hotels. You will receive excellent services and wonderful amenities all at a very affordable price range.

If you’re looking for reasons to visit El Paso at any time of the year, one of the must-sees of the city is the Amigo Airsho, a grand and spectacular event that showcases El Paso’s excellent air force’s skills. It's spectacularity is what makes it one of the top ten best air shows in the United States. Of course, there is also the Fiesta de las Flores, a Hispanic festival that is held every Labor Day for three straight days. Because of these spectacles (and others), booking for lodgings may prove difficult, and reservations are best done in advance.
