The Valencian Community is the area in Spain also known as the "Costa Blanca". It's not a big province, with 5 million inhabitants and just 25,500 square metres. But that doesn't make it less of a travel destination within Spain. It's a well known province for people all over the country, and especially famous for it's good weather, the easy going lifestyle, the incredible amount of local parties.

The northern part of the region is known as Castellón. This area has a few small mountains and is not well known to tourists and is on the inexpensive side if you keep in mind the hostels.

The central part is the area known as Valencia. This is the biggest city of the province and has plenty of hostel opportunities, as well as good food (including paella), lots of party, and a low cost of living. The best known party here is the "Fallas" in the middle of March. It's a whole week of local parties. It's famous all over Spain as a very big event.

The southern part is known as Alicante. This is where all the famous and long beaches are. The biggest city here is the city of Alicante, and it's the second biggest city of the province, just behind Valencia. It's well known for its relaxed atmosphere, university life, and parties. The biggest party of this area is the the "Hogueras de San Juan" on the 21st of June. This area is also the best area to find hostels, being the biggest touristy area of the province. The coast is well known for being inexpensive. You can easily spend the day with good food and good drink for under 30€, which, for European standards is very good.
