A HOME AWAY FROM HOME !
WHERE ARE WE ?
We are SITUATED above the busy tourist town of Mussoorie. The views are breathtaking...if it is not Monsoon (Mid June till Mid Sept). There is an STD booth 2 Min. walk from us where one can do e-mails, fax, photo copies, etc. The Hindi language school is also just 2 min. walk away. There are language teachers available to teach privately in your quarters. Reliable Ayahs may be hired to take care of babies or kids. It is very QUIET up here. We have created lots of cozy corners in and outside to relax or study.
. Regular meals, tasty and nutritious, are served 3 times a day (always as much as you can eat). We bake our own breads; cakes, biscuits etc; make our own jams and spreads, too.
For breakfast we serve hot or cold cereals, eggs, homemade breads and spreads; once a week French toas, . At lunch we usually provide simple Indian food and fruit for dessert. In order to keep our prices low, meals missed are not reimbursed. Coffee/tea with biscuits (a.m.) & cake (p.m.) are available in the lounge.
Great Facilities
There is a large common room filled with good books, games, ironing board, iron and electric kettles.
We have a magnificent balcony with sunshine from rise to setting where lots of people sit and study. Outside are gardens & walks to the upper level where one can play games like badminton etc. We have playground facilities with swings, see-saw, sand box, jungle gym, slide . .. Many people enjoy learning about different cultures as they make friends with our guests from all around the world.
Naturally we can make arrangements for our Guests to be picked up by reliable English speaking drivers in excellent cars from anywhere in India at reasonable rates.
ADVANCE RESERVATIONS
In order to hold your booking we require a non-refundable down payment of 25 % of the cost of your total stay. Please make out a Rupee Draft at any bank to Rokeby Guesthouse , State bank of India Mussoorie Landour Branch and then send it to our address above by registered mail.

The best time of my life! i lived there for almost a year in 2006; it holds a very special place in my heart. it was a bit rundown when i was there but I wouldn't have changed it for the world. the people were wonderful and I'll treasure the memories forever. I miss Sonam and his dog ... wonder what happened to them?
