Calle 11 Hostel Santa Marta is a very chill and friendly hostel on the outskirts of Santa Marta. It has a great pool and excellent facilities and common spaces. This is a place to relax and chill out in Santa Marta.
The Location
The location is outside of central Santa Marta, but close to the beach and a variety of shops. From the airport you can get a very cheap blue local bus that drops you right by the hostel and takes around thirty minutes. A taxi is around twenty minutes depending on the traffic. The bus terminal in Santa Marta is on the other side of town and so a taxi would be necessary. The location feels safe and there is plenty to do in and around the area. Central Santa Marta is a long walk or bus ride away.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are very open and spacious and have plenty of floor space for bags. There are lockers located in the rooms. The bunk beds are comfortable and have privacy screens around them. The bedrooms are split over multiple floors with the larger dorms located on the top levels. A lot of the higher up rooms have a great view of Santa Marta.
The bathrooms are also very spacious and are kept clean. The shower has great water pressure and has a lot of space. The bathrooms have one shower and one toilet in them, so there can be a bit of a wait to use them.
Common Spaces
The hostel has a pool, which is decent-sized and has some flotation devices in and around it. The pool is mostly in the sun all day, but does go in the shade in the afternoon. There are three deck chairs and some additional seating around the pool. By the pool, there is a small bar, which is open in the evenings.
The hostel has great common spaces including hammock areas and it's easy to meet new people. The TV room has a large and comfortable sofa and is right by a spacious kitchen. There's a great variety of chill-out areas available.
Summary
Calle 11 from the outside looks more like a hotel than a hostel and its warm atmosphere and spacious dorms make it an excellent hostel choice.

Description
Discover our beautiful villa located in a safe and quiet area only a 3 minute stroll from the Caribbean beach of El Rodadero, 15 minute journey from the bus terminal and 10 minutes from Santa Marta airport.
All our dormitory beds have an individual light, plug socket, shelf and curtains to give you your individual space when you may wish to have it.
Relax by our pool (complete with water fall) as you sip on an ice cool beer or a delicious cocktail. Hey! Why not fire up our pool side BBQ or simply relax and watch our TV complete with a hard drive ram jammed full of movies and TV shows for when you feel the need to just unwind and do nothing at all.
We have a 24 hour reception and can arrange taxi pick-ups and drop off's to and from Santa Marta airport and the bus terminal. Please E-mail us your request.
All guests are welcome to store there luggage free of charge for 6 nights while you are visiting parque Tayrona, trekking to the lost city or simply just exploring this amazing and beautiful land we call Colombia. After that we will charge a COP$ 2,000 per night.
Please note:
48 hour cancellation policy. We may charge the first night if cancelled after this time.
Our check-out time is 12pm and check-in is 3pm, but if the bed is ready you may enter before this time.
Breakfast is not included.
Taxes included
The communal kitchen remains open all night but there are no cooking facilities from 11pm to 6am.

Location
• If coming by taxi please make sure to state Rodadero and not Santa Marta as the street number repeat them self's.
• If coming by public transport just hop on any bus (COP$ 1,400) to Rodadero and jump off at Calle 11 and walk in the opposite detection to the sea. There is a big parking lot and to the left side is a bus that sells burritos. We are 1 minute up from that bus.
• Please be sure to go up Calle 11 and not Calle 11A.
