• Driving from the Faro Airport to Lagos:
• Take EN125 direction Portimao /Lagos. After about 6 km take Exit marked A22 for Lisboa / Portimao/ Albufeira. Stay on A22 for about 80 km until you see signs for Lagos. ! Be careful not to take Exit marked Lagos Este ! Take Exit directly after the Lagos service station. Follow the signs towards Lagos until you reach a large roundabout. Take first left towards Total Gas Station and continue until you second roundabout with a big black ball. Take first a left down the windy hill and you will see a Spar supermarkt . Turn left and at next small roundabout take a right towards an Arch which is part of the Old City Wall. You can park in the underground carpark before the Arch or drive through and park on the street around the square. You will see a cafe name Gelibar - turn to the left of it and you will see a Hairdresser salon. We are just past it, door number 15, Travessa Gil Vicente.
• Driving from Lisbon:
• Take the A2 (motorway) to the Algarve and follow Portimao / Lagos direction on A22. After Portimao proceed to Lagos on same A22. Follow this until you reach the second exist for Lagos (Vila do Bispo). This exit is directly after the Lagos service station. Follow the signs towards Lagos.
• After the exit and continue straight until you get to the second rotary. Take the left off the rotary towards Total Gas Station and continue on until you see the second rotary with a big black ball and take a left down the windy hill. At the bottom take a left and you will see a huge dirt parking lot across from a park. Park there and walk through the old city wall. There should be a cafe ahead of you , then turn left and you will see the Hairdresser salon and we are just after it, door number 15.
• Train:
• Walk towards the Marina, heading towards the pedestrian suspension bridge. Cross over the bridge and turn left onto the main avenue Avenida dos Descobrimentos. Cross the road and keep walking past the taxi stand and parking lot until you reach the square Praca do Infante which has a large bronze statue. DO NOT TURN INTO THE FIRST SQUARE....KEEP GOING!! Turn right in to the square by the church and walk ahead towards the restaurant called Cervejaria Dois Irmaos until it is on your right hand side. Walk straight up the street next to the thai restaurant until you reach the snack bar on the left hand side. From the the snack bar, cross over the street heading towards the street on the left and take the pedestrian walkway Rua Lancarote de Freitas. Continue up the street and you will see Three Monkeys Bar on your right. Keep going up past the Garagem until you see a little coffee shop Gelly Bar on your left. Turn right onto Travessa Gil Vincente, past the hair salon on the right and we are just after it, door number 15.
• Bus:
• Walk straight ahead towards the main avenue Avenida dos Descobrimentos which runs along the river. Turn right onto the avenue and keep walking past the taxi stand and parking lot until you reach the square Praca do Infante which has a large bronze statue.
