Situated 40kms inland from Hawke's Bay on New Zealand's north island, Mountain Valley Adventure Lodge is an easy drive from Taupo (85kms) and Napier (60kms), just ten minutes off State Highway 5, the main link road between Taupo and Napier. Coming from either direction, look out for our blue road signs which guide you to us from 5 kms away, then make sure you turn off the main highway onto McVicar Road. From Napier this is the first road on the left after the Mohaka Bridge - from Taupo, if you get to the bridge you have gone too far! Keep going along McVicar Road to the road bridge, and it's just a minute up the hill to reception.Naked Bus service has Mountain Valley as a stop on their schedule and other bus services will stop if you ask the driver. We will collect you from the main road and bring you back to Mountain Valley at no charge. We can generally arrange a shuttle pick up/drop off service from Taupo or Napier if that is your preference.
