Hotel Balladins-Rosny sous Bois

It's Clean but Expensive
I stayed at this hotel in November 2007. Rooms start at 41 Euro (approximately $60 US). There is a big sign outside stating that price. There are no cheaper rates and no dorm rooms/beds. Internet is 2 Euro for twenty Minutes. A rather expensive place to stay, but If you're in a bind and need a room for the night, will do the job. The room itself was not bad, the shower/tub has no curtain so don't leave anything in the washroom that you don't want to get wet!

Location is Rosny-Bois Perrier and a lot of value for the buck for two of us! Nothing shabby, nothing fancy. Room and beds a good size, beds and linens clean and comfy w/warm blankets. Weather was cold. Radiators with good heat. Private bathroom clean with excellent water pressure and all the hot water you could use. Small TV in room, free internet available downstairs. The breakfast for 4 Euros each is an outstanding value. A clean, bright dining area with toaster and self-serve juice, milk, coffee/hot chocolate, cold cereal, yogurt, good french bread, and baguettes, butter, jams, honey! Train station not too far and not too expensive. Twenty minutes or three stops you're in St Lazare at Grand Opera. Excellent, helpful, courteous staff. We have done a lot of traveling over the years, had a lot less, and paid a lot more! This is an economical, clean, safe, comfortable hotel/hostel with courteous, friendly staff. We recommend and will use again

The hotel is on the north east area of town, not north west. Furthermore, it's about thirty minutes outside of paris, not ten. We wasted almost five hours before we finally found it! Secondly, and even worse, after the first nights stay I started itching when I went to bed. when I woke up I had roughly twenty bug bites on my back, arms, hands, and feet, as well as a rash on my calf. When I complained to the manager he chalked it all up to mosquitoes and merely offered a free breakfast to compensate for the next several days of constant itching. Pretty crappy! All in all, do not stay at this hostel. You'll be doing us as well as yourself a favor!

Clean, welcoming. In walking distance to Carrefour, and a McDonald's (always good for a late-night soda). A mall in walking distance as well, and a very interesting French-Mex restaurant called "El Ranchito," I believe. L'Hotel Balladins was inexpensive yet very accomadating, the price was more than reasonable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Oh my god, this hotel was a lifesaver! Paris was our last stop on our Europe trip and we were running out of money. It saved us so much! There's a store called Carefour (I hope I got that right) that we got our water and food from. VERY CHEAP if you're on a budget. The only thing is watch out for the cleaning lady. She really didn't like me for some reason. She practically told me and my boyfriend to leave our room at 9 a.m. so she could clean it. Bitchass. Ok, well I'm done! Good hotel!
