Hostel Centar Novi Sad is located in old part of the town Novi Sad, in the town center. Situated in the peaceful and quiet street, but close to the city’s main events, our hostel offers comfortable accommodation at best price.
Hostel has six rooms and one suite equipped with different number of beds. The rooms are with pleasant interior, well-designed, neat and clean. All beds are equipped with memory foam mattresses. Each room and suite has its own bathroom with hot water. While staying at the hostel “Centar” you’ll get free of charge: flat screen LED TV (cable TV – access to over 70 channels), high speed wireless internet, towels, soaps, shampoos and much more which will make your stay in Novi Sad pleasant and more comfortable.
We’ve provided free parking in courtyard for our guests, so you don’t have to worry about the safety of your vehicle while you’re spending your time relaxing and exploring the city and its surroundings. All you need to do is to check if there is available parking spot for your vehicle while you are booking your room. (reservation needed).
In addition to cheap accommodation, Hostel “Centar” also features an extremely good location. Hostel is just five minutes from the center of Novi Sad where you can see Miletić Square and walk along the city’s most popular promenades: Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska streets. Famous annual city events: “Festival of street musicians,” “Days of Brasil,” “Cinema city”and “Days of Wine” are held in these streets.
Laze Telečkog Street (which crosses Zmaj Jovina Street) is a place where jolly atmosphere and good fun starts early in the morning and continues until late at night. A wide variety of bars and cafes provides that anyone can find a good time. There are plenty of restaurants with a variety of delicious food, too. In the near streets and very close to our hostel there are wineries: places where you can taste good wine and enjoy in traditional music, all together guaranteeing a great time.
The River Danube is not too far from the Hostel “Centar”. There you can recreate, walk by riverside or simply enjoy on the bench and watch the boats sail under the Petrovaradinska fortress. It takes ten minutes to walk from our hostel to the Petrovaradinska fortress, where “EXIT” festival is held every year. On your way there, don’t forget to visit the Danube Park, one of the most beautiful parks in Novi Sad.
Walking along Danube Quay (Kej) for twenty minutes, you will reach Štrand, the largest beach resort on the entire Danube: the place of fun, relaxation and recreation for Novi Sad citizens and their guests. There you can find basketball courts and beach volleyball fields. Alongside the Quay there are tennis courts, football fields and fitness centers where you can enjoy in your favorite sports for free.
You can always rent a city bike to quickly reach the desired destination. Novi Sad has a lot of bike paths so you’ll be able to explore our beautiful city by yourself. For those who prefer the river, we suggest Danube rafting or relaxing in a boat ride.
If you want to enjoy a movie, you won’t take a long walk to the cinema, and if you rather prefer reading the book – city library is on the corner of Zmaj Jovina and Dunavska Street. Museum of Vojvodina which houses a permanent collection of Serbian culture is not far from the city library and also not far away from the Hostel “Centar.”
Among the important cultural institutions close to the Hostel”Centar” there are: The Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection, Gallery of Matica Srpska, Synagogue and Serbian National Theater where one of the most important theater festival “Sterijino pozorje” is held annually.

• Located in the centre of Novi Sad, Hostel “Centar” is not hard to find. Railway and bus station are next to each other. On a city bus station, which is situated just across these two stations, you can take a bus number 4. Get off the bus at the fourth bus stop (center of the town Novi Sad). Use pedestrian tunnel to cross the street and then go straight to the cathedral. When you walk past town square and cathedral, go straight through the Zmaj Jovina Street. Near the end of that street, you’ll see Jovan Jovanović Zmaj monument and Vladičanski dvor behind it. Please, continue straight forward until you walk past “Zmaj Jovina” high school. Then, turn left and go straight to the crossroads where you are entering Milovana Vidakovića Street. Our hostel is located on the left side of Milovana Vidakovića Street, near the streets end.
• If, for some reason, you won’t take a bus, we can recommend you city’s taxi services that will take you to our hostel by the shortest route and at the best price. Of course, you can always get to us by foot. As local people say: ”Nothing is too far away in our city!” If you still can’t menage to find us at your own, please contact us and we’ll help you out and give you the instructions.
