• Chucuito is mainly accessible by bus from Puno,Peru or Desaguadero, Bolivia. If arriving from other locations you most likely will take a connecting bus from either of the above locations.
• By Bus:
• -From Puno, you can take the local mini bus next to the Laykakota market for less than 50 cts euros (1.50 soles) about a 20 min ride.
• -From Desaguadero, the big buses are less than 2 euros(7 soles) and the mini buses are about 2.5 euros (10 soles). The ride is about 2 hours.
• -From the Cuzco bus station, Chucuito is just 5-6 hours north, and about 4-5 euros.
• -From the Arequipa bus station, we are about 3-4 hours, and about 4 euros.
• -The Peruvian capital of Lima is 20-40 euros, a 18-24 hour ride.There isnt a main bus station here, just individual bus companies located mainly next to the center or on Javier Prado Avenue.
• There are also airplane options to fly from other cities (Lima, Arequipa, Cusco) within Peru to Juliaca which is about 45 min north of Puno. Ranging about 50 to 80 euros.
