Barracuda Camp Reviews

Description

Nuweiba is a small like type of village, my view is it is split, The Port of Nuweiba which runs the ferry crossing to Jordan, and then you have Nuweiba City, from a tourist point of view more like a growing village which consists of local gift shops, some small supermarkets, coffee houses and few restaurants. There are hotels scattered around the area from the Port to the City, also many camps that are up to a good standard.

BARRACUDA CAMP

Barracuda Camp is approximately 5km from the City Centre, situated directly on the beach. It is a peaceful and quiet camp with tranquil surroundings; excellent scenic views across the red sea looking at Saudi Arabia and it’s mountains. Surrounding you are the mountains of Sinai the views are absolutely breathtaking. There is excellent snorkeling with two beautiful reefs where you can see many specimens of colourful fish and the beauty of the colourful coral, there will always be somebody to snorkel with you if a little worried, or your first time to show you the way around and to point out the sea life. The camp consists of breathtaking views which completely surround you, peacefulness and relaxation is number one on our menu. Soak up the sun on one of the sun lounges or just laze about in one of the Bedouin seating arrears (carpets and cushions). The staffs are very friendly and are always available to help you. Most speak very good English, or there is an English person based at the camp most of the time if any prob

The Bungalows
The quaint bungalows are situated directly on the beach, just steps away from the sea, wake up to see and hear the sound of the sea, open your door and look at the breathtaking views around you. These quaint bungalows are all made of wood and palm leaves, very cosy and comfortable; some are basic some are of a higher standard, but all cosy and all have the scenic views of the sea and mountains

Restaurant
There is a excellent restaurant on site with an expansive menu which consists of Egyptian food, Bedouin special dishes such as Maglouba and Fattah these are absolutely delicious tasting dishes, another is called madfonah which is meat and vegetables buried and cooked. Watch them make Bedouin bread, be careful the staff will get you to have a go. We also have on the menu English dishes and a variety of desserts and cakes. The cafeteria/restaurant is open all day for snacks and meals. We will even put a table on the waters edge so you can put your feet in the sea while eating your meal. Hot and cold drinks are always available, You will always have your welcome drink of Bedouin tea, which is sweet and can consist of marmaria very tasty, once you have one small glass you will want another.

Shower Facilities
There are separate shower and toilet facilities which are of good clean standard overall consists of 6 toilets and four showers. There is also a shower directly oo the beach for when you come out of the sea..

Laundry service is available at an extra cost, usually the next day if given earlier enough the day before.

Trips and activities for all the family
There are many trips which we can take you on directly from the camp try some of the one day trips Combine the sights you want to visit and make up your holiday program yourself! Our desert guides are always flexible and adjust trips just like you want it! As well, there are MANY more fascinating places in the Sinai desert and it is impossible to list them all on a webpage. Ask our guides and adapt your program to your interests.
