Kauai Ostellos(Kapaa)     "The location of this small hostel is prime. It's close to one of the best boogie boarding beaches on the island (Anahola Beach) and a few blocks away from downtown Kapa'a, which is known for its good eats and cheap variety stores.
The hostel itself had a very "insidery" feel. Most of the folks there seemed distant and weather-blown, as if they've been there for a hundred years and intend to stay. The crowd is on the older side, populated with some leathery surfing folk in their 40s as...(Kapa'a) "This place is great and it blows the other hostel across the street away. Small, cool breezes, nice people -- you just want to stay forever. It is hard to peel yourself away and actually do any hiking -- I just bummed around for quite a few days.
