Bend is a wonderful town -- truly a piece of Colorado in the Northwest. There's easy access by public transport from Portland or Eugene. It's one of the nicest, cleanest, safest places I have ever been. Deschutes and Bend Breweries both have great food and amazing beer. — JohnBend is a stellar place to be! — ivy b The town of Bend is great with first class slopes nearby and big city amenities with a small town feel. It's a touch of Colorado in the Pacific Northwest without the high prices. You can get here from Portland or Eugene by bus in about 3 hours.
