Oslo Ostellos(Sofienberg) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "The Anker Hostel in Oslo is great. It's reasonably priced for an overnight in the capital, which is usually very expensive. It's also close to everything, including just a ten minute walk from Oslo's bus and train station. Oslo also has great public transportation (so get a day pass for about 50 kr). To get to the hostel turn right onto Storgata from Karl Johans Gate (the big one running...(Grefsen) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "The Haraldsheim hostel is ok. It is expensive (even for Norway) and a long way out of town. The only real choice is getting tram four to Sinsenkrysset but the way is not very well signposted. If you are coming from Oslo Gardermoen airport it is probably easier (and quicker and cheaper) to get the bus to Grefsen station and walk around the corner to the hostel. Being four kilometers out of town...![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "The Sentrum Pensjonat youth hostel is ideally located in the heart of Oslo and is a good value stop for any backpacker looking for a real bed with decent linen and a friendly atmosphere.
The Location
The hostel is centrally located and is only five minutes' walk from the central railway station. Once you've found your bearings and checked the map, it's easy to find. It's right in the...(City Centre) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "I recently stayed two nights at this hotel/hostel. I found the place very clean. It is located very near the center of tourism. It has easy access to the bus, train and ferry systems. Many tourist attractions are within walking distance. And most important to me, the staff were extremely helpful with any question or request. I'd recommend this place to anyone."

Take tram 10 or 12 to Storo, then bus 55 (Grefsen stadion) or 56 (Solemskogen). If you take bus 55 you need to walk uphill (Myrerskogveien) until you see the sign for the hostel. It's a good bit of exercise I'm afraid (especially the uphill part), and you will probably need a map to find the hostel. A better bet is to take...![]() The Holtekilen Youth Hostel is located 8 km from the centre of Oslo, just off E18.

It is located a short, five- to ten-minute walk from Central Station. At the front of the station, facing the street and large clock tower, you turn left, crossing two streets. At the third street you'll see a bridge walkway, it is impossible to cross the street otherwise (due to a large barrier in center of street). Cross this...
