Derry Ostellos   "Derry City Independent Hostel - Steve's Backpackers has been in this location for four years but used to be known as Steve's Backpacker's Hostel. It has a very relaxed, indie backpacker style. It is very clean and the guests seem very laid back. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful in booking tours, leading pub crawls, and helping guests in any way that that can. "Dolce Vita Hostel is owned by the same people that have the Derry Independent Hostel. It caters to couples that like the socialization of a hostel but don't want to be in a dorm and feels more like a bed and breakfast than a hostel. The owners are not on-site but are available by phone for any problems. The condition of the building itself is very nice -- it is either well maintained or updated or both. It is a lovely place to stay.
The Location
The location is excellent. It is just..."The Ash Villa Hostel has a chill atmosphere set in the quaint town of Derry, not too far from the downtown area. The hostel is in a residential area near a supermarket and is actually a large, white house with three dorms and some other private rooms. The dorms are one female, one male, and one mixed.
