Sneek is well off the backpacker circuit, so you can expect to meet a very Dutch crowd of cyclists (like myself) or boaty types, rather than the typical backpackers. Sneek is in the centre of Netherlands' lake district, and will be very busy during Sneek Week in August -- Netherlands' big regatta event.
