"Posada Mexico is a tranquil hostel -- airy and open, with beautiful gardens/common areas. The location is good. You could walk from the bus station (but it’s not too expensive to take a cab) and it’s quite close to the center. The staff/owners are warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They have free internet that is reasonably fast and lots of books that you can borrow or exchange.
