"This hostel and café is new this year and pretty original for Georgetown (Penang). Downstairs is a tiled café with a DVD/music area to become a restaurant eventually, a fully equipped kitchen and laundry for use by guests, a snooker games room and massage area. There's an Indian-Japanese element here with the mattresses just on the floor (no beds) and drapes hanging from the ceiling with soft multi coloured lights in the corners. "100 Cintra Street is located right in the heart of Georgetown, Penang. Five minutes' walking distance from Komtar bus station and Chulia Street, this hostel is a very convenient location to stay. The hostel earlier used to be an old mansion, which was converted into one of the first air-conditioned malls in Penang. "Very rude service - I went in looking for accommodation, I asked the staff if I could see the rooms before I booked. The staff pointed at a picture at the front desk then pointed at the room rate. So I repeated the question and he replied saying that all the rooms were booked out and I couldn't see the room. I mentioned that if they were all booked then what the point of showing me the rates.
