Cinque Terre Ostellos

(Riomaggiore)
"Mar-Mar is a great place to stay in Cinque Terre. Located in the first town of Riomaggiore, it's about a three-minute walk from the train station. There is a big blue sign indicating the location of Mar-Mar. Basically you follow the tunnel from the train station, turn left at the end, and walk up the hill for one hundred meters. You'll see restaurants on your left and right, and then you'll see the Mar Mar sign. The front desk girl Amy is really helpful and knowledgable about Italy and...

"The staff at Affittacamere Patrizia does everything possible to make guests comfortable -- the rooms are clean and the location (in the first town of the famed Cinque Terre hike) is ideal. We absolutely recommend it. The Location This hostel is spread across several apartments over the city. From the train station, the hostel's main office is up the main hill and from the main office the rooms a substantial hike away. Staircases on the side of the hill, slopes, and staircases inside...

I thought I had died and gone to heaven. They have beautiful unspoilt scenery. I wish I was there now.

I have been there two times and I'm going back in three weeks. It has changed me forever and I will always see the beautiful sights, sounds, smells, and sea in my mind. I dream of the time that I spent there and will forever relish the memories that I have.

Cinque Terre is a real a paradise place to go and it has ideal combination of wandering in wild nature, swimming in sea, and sunbathing on the beach.

Been there twice and would go again in a heartbeat. Cinque Terre is especially good for those who want some physical activity and scenery too. Stayed in Riomaggiore which was less touristy than the others, but any of the 5 villages would do!

I went to Cinque Terre in 2004 on recommendation of a friend. I truly felt like I had stepped back in time. Definitely medieval, it was actually a very spiritual experience. Loved the place and will return there one day. It beat the BIG cities like Florence any day.

Cinque Terre is my favorite place in this amazing world. It has been over two years since I have been there, but I can still smell the fresh air and see the vivid images of the locales in their natural state. The food, the wine, and the view provides for the best feelings one can have. I can't wait to get back there! Not to mention the awesome and really cheap hostel options. Me and my friends practically had our own apartment for a mere 20 euro a night!

We would have made the last village but we had too much wine in Corniglia. We crawled to Vernazza with smiles on our faces. We'll be back.

I've been to Italy three times and Cinque Terre was my favorite. It truly is unspoiled. The locals were nice. We hit town around dusk one day and didn't have a room. Met some nice people and they rented out a small apartment. Spent two nights. Ate well and relaxed. Going back in 05.

Cinque Terre, how is it not one of the wonders of the modern world? I was travelling and stumbled across this place from a recommendation from a fellow traveller. It's absolutely breath taking. My only request, if you go, respect it, it's beautiful and needs to stay that way.

If you go to Italy, please make sure you visit Cinque Terre. We stayed in Riomaggiore and it ended up being my favorite of the towns. It seriously changed me forever.

Cinque Terre is AWESOME. The trains between the five cities stop running early, around 12 am, so you should stay in a town where the night scene suits you. The five cities are Riomaggiore, Manorola, Corniglia, Vernazza, and Moneterosso. Monterosso is the biggest and has the best beach. They are all very tiny. We stayed in Riomaggiore, which we loved. If you can't find a hostel, ask around about rooms once you are there. We stayed with an old family that rented out rooms. It was very pleasant and clean and we were treated well. Don't miss the hike!
