Dublin Travel Tips & Suggestions Comment by Sira It's a great city, but better not to visit at Christmastime because everything's closed -- even pubs! And Dublin without pubs is not the same. It's a funny city and the Irish are the kindest people I've ever met. Don't miss visit Temple Bar, and if you have time then take a bus to Howth Village and see its cliffs and its lighthouse. Though I was born in Paris and live in the Alps, I found Dublin city as one of the most rocking ever. People simply go there on drinking, talking and get laid purposes... Comment by Jana I have not only visited Dublin but I've lived there for a year. And all I can say is: It's a great city! Yes, it is a bit more expensive than other European metropolitan areas, but at the same time you won't find nicer people, more fun and better accommodation anywhere else in the world. The Irish are nice folks; friendly, helpful and easy to talk to. The crime rate isn't higher as in Berlin or in London; just use your common sense and you'll be fine. And the art collections belong to the best preserved exhibitions on the planet. They may not be large, but they are incredibly valuable for any connoisseur.
