Glengarriff Ostellos Murphy's Village Hostel  "Located right in the heart of Glengarriff Village, Murphy's offers a warm welcome and cheerful place to stay. Finding the hostel is no problem – it's actually impossible to get lost here as everything is on one road. The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bathrooms are kept very clean. The showers are pretty luxurious – there's a temperature control, there's lots of hot water, and they're not the push-button type, so it's much more like home. The hostel isn't too big (10... Par Four Hostel "Rooms at Par Four are bright & clean.They have lovely views overlooking gardens or facing the golf course. There are plenty of hot showers when needed. The hostel is small and does not have lots of rules you would have in a larger hostel. The atmosphere is of people of all nationalities mixing very easily. There are tables & chairs outside in the gardens for eating out. You can easily spend a few days at Par Four and have plenty to do in the area. We also have a pitch & putt course 50... The cafe beneath a hostel sells georgous muffins too. It's a really great 'take a break from everything' place. Too many months of pure hell-- if you're not an alcoholic or an adulterer, DON'T GO. There were a few good folk, but the rest...I say no more. Comment by Ann Haga I traveled from one end of Ireland to the other this past month and I have to say that my FAVORITE part of the trip was my stay in a little town outside Glengarriff named Adrigole. The most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. Also I would be remiss if I did not mention the most wonderful person we met in Ireland...his name is Gene O'Sullivan and he is the owner of Glengarriff Cabs & Coach Services, He was the most accommodating, informative, charming individual that we met in Ireland and he gives the most fantastic tours. My family and I agree that he was definitely the HIGHLIGHT of our trip. If you are ever in the area or are planning to visit, Gene is the man to call if you want to see the BEST of Ireland.
