"The Hirosaki Youth hostel is a little hard to find, as it it's tucked into the back of a residential driveway off the street. Look for the sign on the street that points you toward it. It is located only a block or two from the Hirosaki Tourist Center and the old castle grounds, which makes for a convenient base.
