There weren't a lot of tourists coming through and therefore you could really get a taste of French culture in this amazing, beautiful town in the French Alpes. There are canals running through the town past some great buildings (like an old prison) and up to a huge lake bordered by mountains. Get a crepe and sit in the town park to watch the boaters.
