Get to know Boracay Island (no more "I wish I knew this before")

This section is dedicated to take away all your "I wish someone had told me that before I went!" experiences. This way, you can spend less time settling in, and more time making new friends in your chosen hostel. We share our insider knowledge of tips, tricks and important things to look out for in Boracay Island.

Boracay Island is a small paradise island in the Visayas, famous for having the whitest and finest sand in the world. Only seven kilometres long, it offers more than three hundred accommodations; the island is divided into three boat stations -- station three is where most of the guesthouses and budget hostels in Boracay Island are located. If you plan your visit during Chinese New Year or Easter, it's better to book in advance, because it's very crowded.

Leaving your Boracay Island hostel and moving around the island is cheap and easy -- you can take a motorized tricycle just for you or shared with other passengers or rent motorbikes and bicycles. The majority of people, however, choose to visit the island on foot. Remember that most of the action take place on White Beach, where restaurants and shops are located.

The Boracay nightlife scene is excellent and exciting. You can start by having dinner at the fresh seafood market, then relax in one of the bars with local bands playing live music and performing a fire dance show. Finally, before heading back to your Boracay Island hostel, go to one of the famous discos like Club Paraw, Epic, or Summer Place.
