A £2.25m refurbishment has transformed the former Victorian school and orphanage into a 100-bed youth hostel, situated on the island’s east coast. The building is famous to millions as the office of British TV detective Jim Bergerac! We offer dormitory beds in shared rooms of 6, 8 and 10 beds and also private rooms of 2, 4, and 6 beds. Comment by Dave sept 06 This island is very peaceful and an excelent place in the summer especially for the best beaches in the U.K. Jersey does have a up and coming club scene with newly built clubs well known throughout the U.K., good for shopping as it is VAT free. Great for familes -- lots of places to visit and easy to get to anywhere. Very friendly people and very safe. Comment by pezza Jersey is not part of England, or the UK for that matter but independent and is actually an Island in the British Isles.
