"Friendly, comfortable, clean. - As older travelers we were concerned about party noise as we arrived at the same time as a busload of young people. On check in our hosts, with no prompting moved us to a quiet room and suggested we use the downstairs kitchen. "I felt so at home I was sad to leave - I absolutely loved this hostel! At first it not all that modern but when you you have experienced one night of fun in this hostel everything becomes better and better. this hostel really provides a good atmosphere to meet new people. at my first night we were all hanging out at the hammock having fun and loving life. I went to Apollo Bay in the 2004 christmas holidays and I loved it. I HAVE to include that I have never seen so many hot guys in my life! I made heaps of friends (teens) and the people in Apollo Bay were friendly. I loved the food at the local bakery-- the pies were fantastic! — Anonymous

I haved visited Apollo Bay many times and I can honestly say that the town is only getting better. There are plenty of nice cafes and restaurants in the area (La Bimba is a personal favourite) and accommodation is easy to find. Also, it it a great place to base yourself if you wish to see the sights along the Great Ocean Road. If you're travelling with a group of friends, then I would recommend staying in a self-contained cabin in one of the caravan parks. By sharing the costs, it can be quite cheap. — Anonymous

I have visited Apollo Bay many times and I would like to recommend to EVERYONE that they must try one of the delicious treats from the local bakery. The food is excellent and the staff are delightful. — Michael
