"I am just leaving tomorrow after 5 nights at this wonderfully clean, warm and friendly hostel. It's my favorite hostel so far after 3 weeks in Argentina and I'm planning on recommending it to everyone who is headed to Ushuaia. The rooms are huge, and there is loads of space to make a mess if you are like me and like to unpack your bag within minutes of arrival. "Update -- they have wifi now. One other thing to add is that they have a lot of very rigid rules which there are no exceptions. My friend came to visit and was told she could sit in the dining room but could not eat or drink anything! That is a bit harsh if you ask me. I tried to check out after that and since I had paid for four days in advance, they wanted to keep half my money. "After trying out two other hostels in Ushuaia, we finally found Hostel Aonikenk. It's cheap and has awesome views, free internet, and breakfast as well as clean comfy beds. What more could you want? The Location Hostel Aonikenk is thirty meters from the corner of Magallanes and av. 25 de Mayo. It's a bit of a climb from the centre of town, but Ushuaia is at the foot of the Andes, so it's sort of expected. If you arrive in Ushuaia by bus, the driver might be able to drop you off close by!
