• When you type in door code #53, then we will open the door for you. Take the left stairs up a half flight and you have arrived(lst floor mezzanine).
• Directions
• You can find our hostel with the following public transportation:
• Metro 2 - red line
• Metro 3 - blue line
• Tram: 2, 4, 6
• Bus: 6, 26, 91, 191
• Night bus: 914, 923, 950
• Train from the Airport Terminal 1
• Bus #200 from the Airport Terminal 1,2
• Whatever the type of transportation, please get off at Jászai Mari
• square (Jászai Mari tér) on the Szent István korut (ring boulevard), just before Margaret Bridge.
• and Balassi street is right there, opposite McDonald's. If McDonald's is on your right, then pls turn left on to Balassi Balint street.
• General info re: public transportation when connecting from train station, bus station or airport (valid Dec. 2007)
• Tickets are sold at the metro or at kiosks. Pls validate your ticket at the machines at the entrance of the metro. For trams, you can validate your ticket after boarding the tram. You can't buy tickets inside the metro car or tram car. You can't take bicycles on the metro/tram/bus.
• TRAIN
• If arriving at Eastern (Keleti) Train Station (trains from Vienna) or at the Southern (Déli) Train Station (trains from Croatia, Slovenia), pls use the Metro2 – red line.
• Get off at Kossuth square (ter). Then change for tram 2 (the Parliament will be in front of you) and go north 2 stops and get off at the final stop: Jászai Mari square (Jászai Mari ter). Walk back 50 meters and there is the hostel. See above details.
• Travel fare for the metro/tram: you need to buy a transfer ticket for about 280 HUF (1.20 EUR). Duration of journey to the hostel about 25-30 minutes.

• If arriving at the Western (Nyugati) Train Station, pls use the tram #4 or #6.
• This tram stops exactly in front of the train station. Please take the tram in the direction of Margaret bridge (Margit híd) towards the river. You only need to go one stop to Jászai Mari square (Jászai Mari tér).
• Travel fare: ? you only need a single ticket (the cheapest one). Duration of journey to hostel about 5
• mins. by tram. By foot about 10 mins. max.
• AIR
• Ferihegyi Repülô tér (Terminals 1 and 2)
• From Airport Terminal 1 (old building):
• The train to the city stops near the terminal building and runs every half
• hour. It will take you to the Western (Nyugati) Train Station in
• about 25 minutes. The ticket for the train costs 300 HUF (approx.1.20
• EUR). Between 9 am and 10 pm you can buy the ticket at the
• Tourinform office in the Terminal building. Outside of these hours,
• tickets can be purchased on the train. From the Western (Nyugati) Train Station
• follow the directions as detailed above.
• From Airport Terminal 2 (modern building):
• Public buses (Reptéri bus from the BKV company) Bus #200 stops in front of the arrival area. You can use it to transfer to Airport Terminal 1 or you can get off at the final stop called Kôbánya-Kispest, where you can catch the Metro3 – blue line. You take the metro to the Western (Nyugati) Train Station. From there, please follow the directions in the section : Train arriving to Western (Nyugati) Train station as above.
• Airport Shuttle Bus
• If you want a bus that takes you directly to the hostel, but is cheaper than a taxi, look for the Airport Minibus. The office is in the arrival area.
• Travel fare: 2300 HUF (9 euro). We can arrange for this shuttle bus in advance. Pls let us know two days before the trip. Duration of journey takes about one hour.
• Taxi (normal header)
• Travel fare varies between 4000-5000 HUF (16–20 EUR). We can arrange for a taxi to wait for you when you arrive. Please let us know two days in advance.
• Duration of journey takes about 30-40 minutes. All taxis have meters.
• NÉPLIGET INTERNATIONAL BUS STATION (Népliget Nemzetközi Buszállomás)
• International buses arrive at the Népliget Bus Station. When you
• arrive, take Metro3 and go in the direction of Újpest Városközpont. Get
• off at Western (Nyugati) Train Station. From there pls see above under
• Train arriving to Western (Nyugati) Train Station.
• Travel fare: You have to buy two section tickets for 280 HUF (1,20 EUR).
• Duration of trip: about 30 minutes.
• Pls make sure that everywhere is Western (Nyugati) Train Station
