‘Right On Nevsky' is the only hostel right on St. Petersburg's main street in the historical heart of this city. Its perfectly central location makes it very easy to find and extremely convenient to walk to all the city's famous attractions. In addition, there is a bus stop literally at its front door and a metro station within one block. It is also in close walking proximity to all the favourite spots for eating, shopping and nightlife. Our english speaking staff are friendly and helpful.
This hostel is presently in stages of renovation. The cheapest rooms are refurbished to a good standard but are in a section of the hostel that has an unrestored, Soviet-era, communal kitchen/bathroom area which is in a run-down state and is well below western standards. If all you need is a cheap, clean room and don't mind ‘roughing it' in the communal facilities, then this option is the one for you.
