Take the metro to the Port de Vincennes station (line 1), take exit 2 "pas. de la Voute" and walk 40m (passing under the pedestrian overpass) to the traffic circle. Follow the blue/white Centre International signs as you go 400m on Bd. Soult and then left on Ave. Courteline. After 40m take a right on Ave. Vincent D'Indy and the CISP is 200m on the left side.

I was a recent guest (5/25/06 to 5/28/06) of the Maurice Ravel center. The accomodations were clean, comfortable, quiet, and the services were hospitable and professional. I have always purposely avoided staying in hostels, but at least as far as this center is concerned, my fears were unfounded. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Ok. I stayed here for five nights. Breakfast was pretty good compared to other hostels. Fresh crossaints and baguettes daily. Beware of the cranky kitchen cooks. However, perhaps some people forgot to mention that the building is falling apart, damn near condemned. One of the rooms I stayed in had bugs, which during the night found their way to my bed. However, once I moved to another room I did not have this problem. Nonetheless, it was disturbing. The staff at the receptionist desk were amazing. Very helpful and nice, going out of their way to accommodate you. The location of the Kellerman center is very far from the city in gerneral. Its a twenty-five to forty-five minute ride by metro to some of the more popular locations. There is a curfew but its not inforced, good luck finding a way back after 12:30 because walking is out of the question and a cab to this location will cost you. Absolutely dead in the department of partying, unless you wanna hang out with some of the school groups.

Staffs at reception are not so bad, and some are nice and friendly indeed. BUT No refund of deposit in any circumstances, so be careful!! Occasionally we have to hear announcements which call someone (or often just giggling and laughing of cleaning people(?)), which are very startling and very annoying. Better to choose this hostel, at last minute, only when you do not have any other choices. I stayed here three times, but will no more.

I stayed at Maurice Ravel Branch for 2 weeks back in May 1971 - and loved it. Had so much fun with the staff. Food was great. The whole trip to Paris is one of my favourite memories. From the pics on the site, it doesn't look like it has changed much. Had a lot of fun at the pool.

It was a comfy experience in that hostel. We stayed at the Maurice Ravel branch. The decor doesn't even look like a hostel. It looked so hotel-ish from the exterior. Well we checked in around 1:30 a.m. and were greeted with a simply rude staff person. I guessed he was already sleeping and we woke him up as he had to check us into our rooms. He was showing attitude, pulled a long face and threw his calculator, clearly showing his displeasure. Anyway, we stayed in an eight-bed room on the first night. It was sufficient and clean. Subsequent nights we were in private rooms of five beds when we had only three people with us. Still, we had our private room with showers attached to it. Breakfast was really good, bread, ham, egg, cheese, cornflakes, milk, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. The only bad point is that they serve the same old breakfast every single day. But what more can you ask, for the price you pay? I should be thankful that brekkie was provided. There were toilets everywhere and it was real clean.
Sadly, there was a bad episode. My sis left something behind at that hostel and had to go back to retrieve it when we already arrived in Amsterdam, and she stayed there for a night with no advance booking. So one of the staff tried to exploit her by charging her over 30 euro dollars for a single night when we paid 18.50 euro the previous nights. So clearly, it was ridiculous!!! But overall, it was a wonderful experience.

I am an older lady and I stayed for two nights in a single room. I was impressed by its cleanliness and basic comfort. I was on the 10th floor, the lifts were good and as the window opened wide I could keep the room airy. I'd advise ear plugs if sleeping with the window open because traffic can be noisy. Breakfast was plentiful with more choice than I expected. Terrific value in a capital city.

The breakfast is good and it's easy to get to a lot of major destinations from the Metro stop. I stayed there when it was very hot in Paris and of course there was no air conditioner so the room was extremely stuffy (the window wouldn't open). But you shouldn't spend much time in your room anyway. Overall, it's good for a cheap bed, shower, and breakfast.

Hey!! I came all the way from Qatar to Paris and I had the time of my life at this place. It was quiet. Me and my group liked the place; it felt like home. ;) I want to go back. If I ever go back to Paris I would come and stay at this hostel, I liked it so much. I would advise people to stay here, there's a park behind it and you can get through Paris easily. You hear a lot of ambulances passing by. I love Paris people.

Clean, quiet place with acceptable fees, plus a big breakfast. I suggest it!

I stayed in this hostel in '99; it was great! I am very much looking forward to another stay in Paris in '05 and will gladly stay at the CISP. It provides all that one needs while in Paris, clean room, daily attendant service for the room, breakfast, and a private bath in a lot of the rooms. With so much to see and do in Paris, you don't spend much time in a room but to sleep and shower. Perfect!

I have known the CISP for nearly ten years now, and I've spent several stays there. My French teacher led us to this nice hotel in Paris when we were on our pupil-exchange trip in France in 1995. A few months afterwards I traveled there with my family, because it impressed me so much when I was there for the first time. It's clean and cheap — so what else would anyone expect from a hotel in the metropolitan Paris — especially if you plan a trip with your whole family!!

This place is a great value for your money. You get a spanking clean room with daily maid cleaning service for 30 euros! Although it's not in the city center, the Metro was a mere three-minute walk away. The breakfast, especially the freshly baked baguette, was THE reason to wake up every morning. The en suite bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen, but there was hot water and everything, so I have no complaints. I would definitely go back.
P.S. I met a guy here who stayed in a dorm, and he had a terrible experience because of his noisy dorm mates. This place appears to attract school groups, so dorm-stayers, be warned. The single rooms were very quiet.

I was in this hostel. I had a very nice experience staying here. As far as the price is concerned, the hostel's being in Paris made it very convenient. Also it's very close to the Metro, so within ten minutes you can be in the city center. Another good thing about this place was the fresh breakfast every day. It was really very nice. The room was nice and services were as well. In all, I had a great time in this hostel.

It was very clean with friendly staff, and a good free breakfast. I had a nice room that was small but clean for a very good price. For Paris this hostel is a great place to stay as far as hostels go. We recommend it to everyone.
