Brú Radharc na Mara Hostel offers a choice of self-catering or Bed & Breakfast accommodation on Inis Oírr, the most easterly of the Aran Islands. The three Islands lie in Galway Bay off the West Coast of Ireland and can be easily accessed by ferry from Doolin, Co. Clare or Rossaveal, Co. Galway and by plane from Connemara airport.
The hostel is situated on the waters edge overlooking the Bay and neighbouring islands yet centrally located on the island with all aminities just a short walk away.

There is something for everyone to do on Inis Oírr…
- Discover the island by foot, on a pony and trap tour, a guided tour or by hiring a bicycle
- Enjoy a swim in the clear waters of the long sandy Green Coast awarded beach; lifeguard patrolled during he Summer months
- Wonder at our unique wild flowers and plants
- Buy a souvenir from the local basket makers, weavers or knitters
- Join the islanders and experience island nightlife – damhsa agus ceol agus craic go leor!
- Take a day trip to one of the other islands
- For the younger visitors we have one of the best playgrounds in Ireland here on Inis Oírr
Brú Radharc na Mara (translates to Seaview Hostel) is run by the Sharry family who are catering for accommodation needs of tourists visiting the Aran Islands for many years.
For the single adventurer, for couples / families or groups that come to the island we have rooms to suit your needs.
Inis Oírr is the perfect stop-over for those travelling the West Coast of Ireland as ferries serve the island from Doolin in Co. Clare and Rossaveal in Co. Galway so those who travel from Doolin can continue their journey on wards to Galway City or vice versa.
The hostel is generally open from St. Patrick's Day (17 March) to the end of October each year but this period could be extended on occasion so please check with us if you do intend to travel during the winter months.
In the off-season period when the tourist numbers decline this is a great location for groups to come together to work / study or experience island life. In the last number of years groups of artists, writers and musicians have used the hostel as a base while they expanded their portfolios in these unique surroundings.
We are open for groups all year.
Accommodation
There is a choice of dormitory or private room accommodation. Dorms are kept to a reasonable size of 4 – 6 beds to avoid crowded rooms.
Private twin, triple and double en-suite rooms are available.
Bed linen is provided and towels are available for rent.
Self-catering Kitchen
The Self catering kitchen which is fully kitted out with all modern conveniences and crockery needs for your dinning and provides free tea and coffee for everyone.
Common Room
Meet up with other travelers from around the world by the open fire in the homely sitting room with Sky TV and DVD player.
Internet Facilities
WiFi is available at no charge and a computer is available for use should you wish to login to your Facebook page or make reservations for your next stop-over!
