Recensione di Hostelz.com
Miguel Ángel is a very clean but quiet hostel. The recently-renovated facilities are pristine. Each four-bed dorm room has its own private bathroom of such high quality that you could mistake it for a hotel’s rather than a hostel’s. The bunk beds are nice and sturdy, and bedside lockers are provided for hostellers for free. Each bed has its own lamp, which is a nice addition for people to read without keeping others in the room awake. But it is placed a little low, so one must take care not to bump his or her head against it when lying down. Each room has its own balcony, although they only overlook the insignificant sidestreet the hostel is located on, and, sadly, are in use as storage space for extra tiles and materials from the hostel’s recent renovation.

The kitchen is equally impressive modern, with very new appliances. Sadly, though, coffee is only available from a vending machine. There is also a washer and dryer for laundry, but the owners tend to charge exorbitant prices to use them. Also, be warned that the kitchen is very small, so if trying to make it for the last-minute rush for the free breakfast, there is a risk of no space or sitting room in the kitchen. There is no common room, and the small size of the kitchen makes socialising difficult.

The atmosphere in the hostel is very quiet; the owners even have a sign up stating that while hostellers are encouraged to have fun outside, the hostel itself is meant as a quiet space for sleeping. “Quiet time” starts at ten p.m., but hostellers can come and go from the hostel at any time. The quiet atmosphere can either be frustrating for the partying type or a welcome relief for tired hostellers looking to get some shuteye. The on-site owners are extremely helpful and friendly, though. They give a relatively ample tourist guide to all hostellers and have a bulletin board filled with useful tips, visit ideas, and train and bus information to nearby towns of interest.

The location is the hostel’s biggest plus. It is only a three-minute walk from Puerta del Sol and the Sol Metro station, and two minutes from El Corte Inglés department store and supermarket. The Royal Palace is less than a ten-minute walk away.

Overall, this hostel is among the cleanest and most modern anywhere. The quiet atmosphere can either be a huge plus for those who want to sleep, or a frustrating feature for those who want to party hard. This hostel will be a dream if you want new, hotel-like facilities and some peace and quiet, but stay away if you’re looking to party.

Quiet, friendly, and comfortable.
I think that RC Miguel Angel was one of the nicest hostels I have stayed at so far during my time in Spain. The bathrooms were spacious and clean and my bed was amazing -- I had a very good nights rest. There is one computer that you can use for free, unsurprisingly it was often occupied by someone. The person working at the front counter was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen is very small and the breakfast was minimal (Croissants, coffee, bread, and jam), though I will say that I showed up during the last thirty minutes it. Overall, I had a very nice night there and will book again for my next visit to Madrid.

Very impressive
I love this hostel very very much, although only two days spent there. The staff is very polite and friendly, provide all the info we asked. This make me feel great for visiting Madrid. I will definitely visit Madrid again and this hostel will definitely be my only choice to stay there again!

Absolutely wonderful
This hostel is great, everyone is so friendly. I was there for five nights and each one was magnificent. The owners do not speak english but they are so nice, warm, and helpful. The people who work for them is absolutely great, always with a smile, and they speak english. They are always ready to help you with anything (they booked me a taxi, a restaurant, a flamenco show, they search the bus and train I needed, they called to the airline in order to locate my bag). I would definitely say If you are going to Madrid stay there. Regarding to party I must say that, they have a pub crawl, everyday, there is a bunch of local guys, who take guests to near bar and clubs. So I would even give them a five-star, also, in fun.

I loved this Hostel. The people who run it are super great and friendly and helpful and the people who work for them are great too. This is the cleanest hostel ever and the beds are really comfy, if very squeaky. the top bunk also hangs pretty low so it isn't comfortable to sit on the bottom bunk but they provide chairs in the rooms. While the shower is so small it needs maneuvering, the water is rapidly hot and has great pressure and there is another heater in the bathroom (heater in room too). The breakfast is simple but very plentiful and the kitchen is small but since there are only a small number of rooms, five I think, there was never a wait to sit and always plenty of food even at the very end of breakfast time. The only reason I am not giving this hostel five stars is because of the lack of a common room which makes just hanging out inside a bit difficult and the computer needs some updating. Above all I say if you are in madrid and want a quiet and wonderful hostel, this place is a definite no no for heavy partiers, then you have to stay here.

What a hostel. It's so wonderful. Doubtless the best I've stayed in anywhere. Although the owners do not speak English, they are terribly friendly and warm. And the whole place is spotless. I couldn't fault a thing. Yes, the beds squeak, but it's hardly noticable. The most important thing is that the rooms are heated, quiet and the matress comfortable. It's very quiet, but in the most central part of Madrid. I recommend you stay here :)
