Awesome location! Very clean! Great hostel! Needs a little fun though. If you're in a group I would suggest you stay here! Nice price too.

Really clean and comfortable. The location is great (you can go by foot everywhere you need to) and though in the beggining it seems a bit scary to go out at night, you'll get used to it and realize that what people call "beggars" are no more than a "street team" that tries to get more people into the two strip clubs in that street! I was the one to book the rooms for me and ten people more and I was a bit scared with the comments and the "warning" signs at the hostel about security. I don't regret a thing, it's really a good option.

This hostle was mostly clean. But only in the mornings. It was not a nice place to be. There are strip clubs just down the road and there a loud people on the street everywhere all hours of the day! You cannot shut the windows and it was hard to sleep. Some girls key didn't work and they woke everyone up screaming to get in a 2am! Not a nice experience! The one plus was that there was not many people here and so at least it was quiet in the room! But the kitchen is non exsistent! There is a filthy kettle, and a sink! No dishes and only hot water some of the times! Not fun! I would not stay here if I was you! Find somewhere that is not next to the biggest strip club in town (thats what they advertise!). It was only a 10 minute walk from the train station though, and is only 3 minutes to the old town!

This is a great hostel. The location is right in the centre, 2 min walk to either Mustek or Muzeum metro stations. Wenceslas Square is right out there in a minutes walk.
The staff are very friendly and ready to help and provide any information you may require.
The room was very clean and had all the facilities you could want. Free lockers and free internet are a great bonus.
I went in the absolute winter, but inside the hostel it was very warm. If you travel in the busy summer season you will have to compete for the bathroom and use of internet, but in the winter, there was no waiting for anything, which was very good.

Horrible experience! Worst hostel ever! Horrible location right next to the strip clubs/whore houses with bums and beggars all over the place. Nice fake rating on your site for location! They actually make you feel kind of secure with multiple keys, except for the signs everywhere warning you about getting robbed. It's also great when you need 3 keys to get into your room and you still get robbed! We stayed in room 208, an apartment room. Unfortunately I deleted my booking information, but I needed to make the truth known. I am sure we were not the first or even the last that day, who had their room broken into. When you come back from dinner and your room is still locked you don't think you got robbed, but then you realize that all your stuff is gone, that kind of sucks. Good news is the stupid Prague thieves didn't even find over $1000 American dollars, a video camera, and a new digital camera. At least be good at what you do. Maybe next time someone will catch your drugged up ass and give the beating you deserve. Then, when you tell the manager you got robbed they don't even care. Do not stay in this hostel!

Unfriendly staff and limits for noise. At 10 p.m. a woman just screams out of the window saying she's going to call the police. The rooms are in between each other, making guests from other rooms pass by OUR room. They knock on the doors and are freely able to steal anything they want, because they have the key to our door so they can get to their door. (While their door is protected against our room.) And checkout is at NINE in the morning. Nice hostel but located between all the prostitutes, cabarets and drug dealers.

All was fine in this hostel; the bed was not too bad, and a reasonably clean bathroom and little kitchen. The five flights of stairs to get to the room were hard with bags but doable. Then on my last night there I came back to my room to find that I and four others had their backpacks ransacked. The problem was that whoever got in had a key, because you need a key to get in the front door, then another key to get into the room. Only one person had anything taken and that was her emergency wallet with a little cash and spare credit card, on which they racked up 700 GPB [UK pounds] within a few hours. So beware!

We were first introduced to this hostel by the owner himself outside the main train station a few years ago, when he was first getting this hostel up and running. We were apprehensive at first but because we had no idea at the time where we were staying, we decided to go for it. He personally walked us back to the hostel and ever since, we have stayed there every time we've gone back to Prague. I plan to make my fourth trip back there this year and plan to stay there again. Its close proximity to everything is well worth it alone. It is very cheap and the staff were helpful and friendly.

This hostel was clean and tidy, with free Internet, a common room and a friendly staff. I was fortunate to stay in a dorm and an apartment. It was really a good value for the money, and so close to the city (only a five-minute walk). Although there were a few strip clubs along the way, essentially the area was good with cafes and restaurants nearby.

This hostel was really good. It had a friendly staff to give you information all the time, and the free Internet was great. The hostel was only minutes away from the center of town, and it was easy getting to places. If you stayed in the loft (5th floor room 4) you had to enter the bathroom to get to your room, and if someone went to use the toilet you would be stuck. Apart from that, it was an awesome place to stay. :)

This is a really good hostel. The room was very nice, and there were good lockers, although they were quite small. The free Internet was great - it was often available, and pretty fast. It's in a little common room with a TV, and it's really sociable. This hostel is so cheap and such good value for money. The main downside to this hostel is that it's on a seedy road full of dodgy clubs and cabarets. But you can walk everywhere you want from the hostel, and you don't need to use public transport.

Although our dorm and common room looked nothing like the pictures shown here, they were fine. The only big problem was the excessively loud roadwork going on in the street from very early morning. It would have been a nice bonus to have a second shower, but queues weren't a huge problem. The fridge in the room is really handy, as are the large secure lockers and free Internet, and the location is unbeatable. One tip: the Atlas "strip-bar" is only a couple of doors down from the Atlas Hostel — make sure you get the right Atlas!

I find that people complain too much about hostels. This place was right up my alley. The first two nights I stayed here, I stayed in the apartment rooms on the fifth floor. There wasn't an elevator, but the room ruled so it was no bother to me. The bed I stayed on was a bit uncomfortable, but the room made it easy to deal with. I didn't have other reservations and they allowed me to stay here another two nights in the dorm, which is nice and close to the computer and TV. The reception can seem difficult at times, but that is only because there is a slight language barrier. If you are not uptight, a jerk, or a naive a*hole when it comes to what hostels are supposed to be like... then you will love Atlas. They have a central location in a seedy, but interesting neighborhood and loads of cool people.

Nice hostel. We stayed in the apartment, which was not at all like the photo but was still fine! The hostel is in a very central location, so while it's not the safest area, it's perfect for a few nights. There's only one internet connection, and it's very slow. It is free, however, so that's to be expected. Overall, I'd recommend it. Be sure to confirm your booking, as they cancelled our original booking after we phoned a few hours late. Don't say you weren't warned!!

I had an awesome time at this hostel! It was relatively inexpensive, and the location was excellent. There were several other backpackers staying at this hostel and they were all very friendly. We had a great time. If you plan on staying at this hostel, you must visit The Buggy Buggy Bar... it is right down the street.
