Red Nest Hostel is a large, colorful hostel in a good location about a ten-minute walk from the train station. The hostel's best asset is a very friendly, social atmosphere. It attracts a very diverse crowd of people of all ages, even families with children, from all over the world.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are decent, equipped with fans to keep you cool in the hot Spanish summer. Each room also has lockers for luggage storage, but guests must bring their own lock or buy one from the front desk. Because of the abundance of young partiers, hostel-sponsored pub crawls, and the hostel's location on a busy street, rooms can be very noisy at night.
Common Spaces
Hostel facilities include a kitchen, dining area, game and TV room, computers (pay per half-hour), and a rooftop terrace where the coin-operated laundry machine is located. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, silverware, and plates, and guests are welcome to store food in the refrigerators and take from or contribute to the "Common Food" area. Coffee and tea are provided free.
Summary
The hostel is very social. Visitors can always be found relaxing in the game room, chatting on the roof, or cooking a snack. The hostel provides organized pub crawls, a map of the city, and a list of nightclubs and restaurants to help travelers explore Valencia nightlife.
