Descrizione
Absolute serenity and the absence of distractions are features of Furneaux Lodge. Nestled at the head of Endeavour Inlet in Queen Charlotte Sound the lodge is surrounded by 800 hectares of virgin native forest and overlooks the bay. The pace is easy, and the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. Explore the inlet, kayaking, swimming, mountain biking and walking, or spend the day fishing, diving or dolphin watching. The lodge offers a range of accommodation from backpackers hostle to self contained family units and contemporary studio suites with delicious Marlborough food and wine to be enjoyed in the award winning restaurant. The lodge is the first night stay on the Queen Charlotte Track.

Furneaux Lodge is situated on three acres of tranquil lawns and gardens and exudes beauty and history. • Over 100 years old, the original homestead consists of an a la carte restaurant, bar, coffee bistro and private drawing room/library. • The owner, Geoffrey Faulkner, invites you to relax and unwind on the lawn, in the bar, on the veranda or in the restaurant. You can rent a kayak or dinghy, swim in the crystal clear water or just sit back and enjoy the scenery. • The lodge is surrounded by some of the only native forest in the inlet. Enjoy this wilderness on the walk to the Waterfall up Mt. Furneaux or the Intepedity Mine track. • Darkness invites you to enjoy a dazzling glow worm display just a few minutes walk from the lodge. Try a meal in our a la carte restaurant or our tempting bar menus. |
