Verey pretty
It is a perfect location in the center of Cairo near a bus station. You can travel with buses from there all around the Egypt. It is near an Egyptian main museum. Hotel is very clean and flexible people like Methat and Mohamed-Ali work on the reception.

It's about the people, they genuinely care. But the hotel is super to
Ok, it may not be the most modern hotel in the world but it has everything you need, as well as being clean, at a seriously affordable rate. And the fact that you are on the sixteenth floor gives you outstanding views over Cairo and the Nile. It is around the corner from the Cairo Museum and centrally located. You cannot ask for any more than that. Madhid and his team could not do enough for us. We had a hiccup with a tour and all they wanted to do was make it up to us. And they did! You actually get the feeling that you are part of the extended family and they have all the time in the world to help you with the many queries you have as you explore Cairo -- always with the offer of a coffee or tea. We will be coming back to visit Madhid and the team in the next year or so.

Very good
Situated near Egyptian museum, the rooms are simple but comfortable. The people were helpful in the organization of the trips around Cairo. Internet is available at any time. Great. Thanks to the staff.

Friendly staff, room clean, recommended.
I was warmly welcomed by the Hotel manager -- Mohamed Ali upon my arrival. The staff are all friendly/approachable. They have been very helpful to me, quick to attend to my needs. The room looked clean, and was fine with me. I recommend your stay in Isis Hotel while traveling in Egypt. When I make a trip again to Egypt, I will come to Isis Hotel again, as I have established good friendship with Mohamed Ali.

Very hospitable place, a home away from home
it has been a nice experience staying at the isis hotel in cairo. located on the very airy fifteenth floor with a great view of the busy cairo streets the hotel has comfortable rooms. however the most distinguishing feature is the homey atmosphere created by the staff and owners of the hotel. timely help was offered to me about traveling in and around cairo and places like luxor and aswan. after coming back from our tiring trips particularly from the notorious egyptian railway it was nice to have the staff welcome us smilingly with a warm cup of egyptian tea. so in all an ideal place for those with a middle level budget looking for a friendly place to stay. we will see you soon in egypt again!

Great people great place to stay
I stayed In this hotel for three nights and found the staff terrific. Mahad made me feel very welcome being a solo female traveler in my fifties. He arranged a driver to take me all over Cairo -- this is the best way to do this, all arranged through the hotel. Better to book through them as the prices are extremely reasonable. Internet service is included free and also egyptian breakfast included. Five minutes' walk from hotel to the Museum, and in the heart of downtown Cairo. Remember that this is Cairo, I arrived at night and was a bit worried when we went to the accommodation but when I got to the floor where the hotel is it was welcoming and I was instantly at ease.

Very Good
The Isis Hotel is the best choice for Money/Value. I really loved it. It's right in the centre of Cairo near Museum and all places you need to see. I took a trip with Isis hotel to Alexandria which was very good choice with driver whose name is Jah Jad. he is very funny and very nice entertainment. Also Medhad Assistant Manager was very nice. And thank you for the owner of the hotel for everything. Recommend this place very much. See you soon again.

Nice, clean, and quite with good location
I booked a private en-suite in Isis Hotel for three nights. The room was spacious and clean, I was very surprised to find a big refrigerator in it, which is not common for small hotels. The staff is very friendly (especially Mithat -- Thanks for all!) and could help me with local information. The elevator does not look very inviting, but he is working fine. You just have to know that the right elevator works only for pair number floors (that means you have to press fourteen instead of fifteen, which you press on the left one). The air conditioning is working as expected. Not to forget to mention the free airport pickup and free internet access.

Great!
On our first day someone from the hotel came to pick us up from the airport for free. This was very convenient for us, as we were a family of five with a lot of luggage. We were welcomed in the hotel, they were all very friendly and helpful. Our hotel room was very big, we had a good working aircon and a good view from our room. The room was very clean, and has a big bathroom. The hotel provides you with all the information that you need and even offers to help you see some of the cultural places. The hotel is located in the centre of Cairo. It's located only five minutes away from the Egypt Museum. And just behind the hotel you can find a lot of shops, which makes it an even better location because you can really see the heart of egypt/cairo. The hotel provides you with breakfast every morning, it's a continental breakfast. It doesn't matter when you have your breakfast, you can sleep late if you like. Which is very good, when you're on a holiday.

This hostel is a sh*t, they just ruin your Egypt trip
This Hostel Give me a big Sh*t during my stay in Egypt! They only want money, money, money. upon my arriving to the Hostel I thought the receptionist are very accommodating but later on they ask me i want a tourist guide to Egypt and i said yes if possible and of course I paid the amount they ask me. but when i go outside and ask to the people in the same hotel when we go for dinner cruise we have different price, I paid 170LE but the original price is 90LE. I paid too much even in the tour to Cairo for two days I paid 1200LE and to Luxor and Aswan 1856LE. I come to know later that they get too much from me. Its a sh*t when we have problem to Luxor they even ignore us they even remove two of our trip -- the Kitchener and the Elephantine Island, which is included to our package tour. Even the manager is a big sh*t. He never face us when we complain. Therefore I will never recommend this hostel. Their Pricing for the package tour is three times more than the real price. Their Hostel price I get single room and my friend get single room too but the price they give us is different compare to the price they write in their website.

Home in Cairo
I stayed at the Isis Hotel in Cairo with my two daughters in August 2008. It was everything that we hoped for. We were in the southeast corner triple room. Being so high it was quiet and the view was terrific. I think we had one of the best views of the Citadel in the city! We could also see the Nile from our room. The views from the lobby/breakfast room were great of the Nile (I think I even saw the Great Pyramid one clear evening across the river in the southwest). The breezes up there were very refreshing and surprising given how hot it was down on the street that time of year. The location was good. We were near the subway and a short walk from the Nile Cornish for evening cruises. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged a reasonably priced pyramid tour (the owner even called our driver while on the tour to check with me on how things were going). We stayed for three nights so there was free airport pickup, which was there on time with a good sign. It was nice to see given some of the stories that I had heard. They really made the Isis our home in Cairo. After our stay in Cairo we went by the sleeping train to Luxor. The hotel let us store our bag until our departure time and arranged for our transportation to the train station (even complimentary -- thank you). Upon returning to Cairo for our flight out of Egypt, they let us freshen up at the hotel when we picked up our bags and had the airport taxi arranged. It was very nice and truly did feel like a home away from home. It was really good hotel with outstanding service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that I know.

On the top floor of a large office building, the Isis affords sweeping views of the city. I think the place may be 5 stars when it comes to hostels, but I'll remove a star for their business practices. On the night we arrived Cairo we had booked the Desert Safari, but since they blew our ride, we had to find our own taxi which was provided by a tout who claimed to be the manager of the Isis, and that we should just check it out before going to the Safari. So we did, but they only had one room available (so they said) at 120 LE per night, whereas the tout at the airport told us it would be 70LE. Since it was 3 AM and we didn't feel like lugging the luggage around, we just paid for it. It was however a very nice room, with a sweeping view of the Nile, Zamalek, and Bulaq Abu Al Ela, and a very large bathroom not to mention, Air Con...The next day we left, though they said that a 70LE room (facing the Citadel) would be open that day. We went to the Desert Safari as originally planned, but we would have been better off just staying at the Isis but didn't based on principle. Hopefully the Isis will make it into the Lonely Planet so they won't have to resort to underhand practices.
