This hostel is newly renovated and newly opened with amazingly tiled bathrooms and a very comfortable sitting room and dining room. There aren't a huge number of bathrroms, and there may often be a wait, but that's the way it goes with the hostels sometimes.
The beds are bunk beds, but the rooms are pretty big. Large lockers are provided for free. There is a small kitchen to use, though it could use a sharp knife or two. There was an advertised free breakfast, but nobody went out to buy the breakfast and coffee, so it didn't happen, but that may not be the norm. They also advertise free internet, but that wasn't hooked up yet, nor was the hot tub filled with water. So, the freebies didn't happen, but even so, it's a good deal.
The place is partly owned by a Romanian couple; the Lonely Planet describes Maria, as being a bit pushy but having fine rooms, and that's an accurate description. If you can resist the hard sell tactics for tours and such, and her mile a minute pitch, this place is a good deal.
