3   Location is nice Facilities are not good, but good location.  ()
4   Top spot stayed for 6 months found it good. no hassles easy to get to town. friendly staff not the patron. worth a visit if you on a budget. festival de avignon is the best time to go lasts a month. english girl called Jane works there every year, very helpful girl for local knowledge.  , uk ()
4  The dormitories are very clean. So are the bathrooms. My overall experience was very good. Some nights were louder than others but that all depends on who else is staying in the hostel. The service at the reception was very good and all the workers and staff are very nice. The breakfasts are amazing! They were simple but you got a lot of food. The choices were very good as well. The only thing that bothered me was a banging door at night or in the morning. I'm not sure which one it was (I tested some of them close to my room), but it's there somewhere. But a great place to stay overall if you're young and on a tight budget.  , Serbia ()
5  I camped here in September 2004. The showers and toilets were very clean. I met several young people who were staying in the hostel. They all thought the hostel facilities were good. It has a very friendly staff with several native English speakers. You can buy your beers in the local supermarket and sit outside the camp bar and chat. The best bit is that it's so close to the town you can see La Pont Sur Avignon from camp. A must is a visit to Pont Du Guard Roman Aquaduct, about 15 miles south.  ()
3  Avignon is a fun city, one of the best in France (especially during the theater festival in July). I had great time there. The hostel is in a wonderful location and it is fun to sit outside by the lake. It has a weird smell, but it wasn't dirty and it was cheap. The hostel lacks locks, lockers and a common room.  ()
1  It sucked. The food was as bad as hell!!! Really disgusting. The showers were really dirty. It was not really cheap if you ask me. You have to pay 9 euros extra for food that was not eatable. If you pay some euros more you can eat very well in a restaurant in town. It's better to pay some extra euros and have a cheap hotel. The owners were not friendly at all.  ()
5  Marvellous!!!  ()
2  Avignon is a very small fortified city in the south of france. Hostel Bagatelle operates behind a camp ground of the same name, run by the same people however all amenities etc are kept completely separate and the hostel operates as its own entity. The dorm rooms are very small and the owners have crammed in as many bunk beds as they can offering absolutely no space to move. It is even difficult to find a suitable place for your bags, considering there are 8 people in the room. Dorms are also gender segregated and couple travelling together may find is very difficult to get a room together. There is also absolutely zero security offered at the hostel and NO doors lock. Also of note is the fact that Avignon regularly floods, so take note of evacuation charts posted up everywhere (although it is unlikely that the hostel would be effected in these cases). The hostel is located walking distance into the town and all major attractions. It also offers spectacular views of the Papal Palace and Pont d'Avignon. There is a significant lock out and an early checkout time.  , Australia ()
