Descrizione
The number one place to stay in Bangkok - Centraly located Big John's @ email-cafe.com is a small Australian run guesthouse and youth hostel that also includes
Thailand's coolest and friendliest internet cafe/restaurant/bar. Open 24 hours, serving the number one Australian style pies and burgers in Thailand, maybe the world!! Not forgetting delicious western style vegetarian meals, international favourites and Thai/Fusion food.
Did I forget to mention our fabulous home made pork sausages, vege/tofu Burgers and vegetarian breakfast?
Guests also receive 20minutes free ADSL internet access per day.
With airconditioned dorm beds from 160 Baht and private rooms from 225 Baht per person, you won't find better value for money in Bangkok.
The A3 airport bus http://www.into-asia.com/bangkok/airportbus_routes.php is at the door and the guesthouse is an easy walk to the BTS (Skytrain) and Klong (canal) making access to the whole of Bangkok a breeze.
We are also close to Ekamai Bus station, for those planning on travelling to Pattaya, or the islands of Kho Samet and Kho Chang.
Major transport systems, shopping and entertainment complexes, restaurants, bars and clubs are all nearby, including Royal City Avenue(RCA) a major, young adult nightspot area.
Thonglor is an upmarket, cosmopolitan, residential area on the edge of Central Bangkok, in the newly rezoned entertainment zone, surrounded by many clubs and restaurants which are frequented by both young Thais and
expatriates. It is close to many of the International schools.
It also hosts the Japanese quarter of Bangkok. Thonglor has a less artifical feel than many areas traditionally frequented by backpackers. Here you can experience life in Bangkok & Thailand on a more realistic, down to earth, day to day level.

| Indirizzo | 161/7-9 Sukhumvit Road Soi 55 (Thonglor Soi 9), Bangkok, Bangkok Province, Tailandia |
| Località | I've been hearing of people getting charged 650-800 baht by the taxi service in the airport. And, not allowing them to call here for any help or advice. If you go up stairs to the departure area and can get one dropping someone off to take you on the meter, you should be able to get here for less than 200 baht. Someone else arrived recently, got one there and even though not on the meter paid only 250 baht. Outside the arrival hall is the bus stand for the A3 DOWNTOWN airport bus to THONGLOR, http://www.into-asia.com/bangkok/airport/bus_routes.php it costs 100 baht per person. It sometimes does a loop past Thonglor, up Ekkamai and back down Thonglor stopping outside the police station. Sometimes the bus will turn up Thonglor and drop you at our door. If it doesn't/won't turn up Thonglor your best bet is to get off at the corner of Sukhumvit 55(Thonglor) just around the corner, in Thonglor, by 7eleven (not the 2 under the BTS, skytrain station) you can get the little red bus for 3 baht, a motorcycle taxi for 10 baht, a minivan/tuktuk for 20 baht or walk 10 minutes to us. We are between soi 7 & 9, look for the red and white "Big John's Home baked PIES" sign. |
