Descrizione
The hostel is located 4 blocks from the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Steinbeck's Cannery Row, minutes from Fisherman's Wharf and the world famous 17-Mile Drive. Enjoy whale watching, scuba diving and kayaking on scenic Monterey Bay. Bike, rollerblade or stroll Monterey Bay's coastline recreation path. Tour the historic adobes and the Carmel Mission. Drive or take the bus to Point Lobos and Big Sur. Or just rest and relax in this area of natural beauty.
6-day maximum stay allowed per month, may be extended with manager's approval in the off-season.
Family/Private Rooms (Rooms 5 and 6)
* (1 double bed + 1 bunk bed in each room): Minimum of 2 guests and maximum of 4 guests.
* Total of per person rates with a minimum of $59.00 + tax.
o Group Rooms (Rooms 3,4, and 7): Rented at per person rate and can be reserved as private if all beds in the room are prepaid.
o Group rooms will be Co-ed if needed.
Parking
Parking is free for guests between 5pm and 10am in the parking lot behind the Hostel.
Parking position must be within painted lines. Groups with buses or motorhomes need to park with care and must not obstruct other vehicles.
Parking during the day for continuing guests is free with parking permit obtained during registration.

| Località | •Directions By Car: Four blocks from Cannery Row at the corner of Irving and Hawthorne. From the South: on Hwy 1 take the Pacific Grove/Pebble Beach/Hwy 68 exit. Follow signs to Pacific Grove, counting traffic signals beginning at the Community Hospital of Monterey Peninsula (1st). At the 4th traffic light turn right onto David Ave. Continue past one stop sign and turn right at the 1st traffic light. The hostel is on Hawthorne one block on the left.
• From the South: on Hwy 101, take Hwy 68 West to Hwy 1. Continue same as above.
• From the North: on Hwy 1 take Pacific Grove/Del Monte Ave exit. Stay in right lane, pass Fisherman's Wharf and veer right into tunnel and right again onto Foam St. Counting traffic signals, turn left at 5th traffic light onto Irving St. Continue on Irving for two blocks, the hostel is at the corner of Irving and Hawthorne.
• From the North: on Hwy 101, take Hwy 156 West to Hwy 1. Continue same as above.
• Park in lot behind hostel, enter from Irving.
• Directions By Bus: Monterey Greyhound Station at the corner of Del Monte Ave and Camino Aquajito, 1.8 miles, ask driver to let you off at the Monterey Transit Plaza, otherwise take public bus #20 from the Greyhound station to the Transit Plaza. Then take the #1 bus from the Transit Plaza to Irving Street, exit and continue on Irving crossing Lighthouse Ave. The hostel is 1 block on the left, at the corner of Irving and Hawthorne.
• Directions By Airport: Monterey Peninsula Airport (MRY), 4.5 miles, take local bus #21 to the Monterey Transit Plaza then transfer to the #1 bus and follow directions by bus above.
• San Jose Airport (SJC), 75 miles, take local bus to downtown San Jose for Greyhound bus or Amtrak connection to Monterey. By rental car take Hwy 101 south, then follow directions by car from the north on Hwy 101 above (1.5 hrs). Commercial shuttle: Monterey/Salinas Airbus by reservation, approximately $30.
• Directions By Train: Salinas Amtrak Station. Amtrak provides a bus from the Salinas Amtrak Station to the Monterey Transit Plaza. Ask the driver to stop at the hostel, otherwise follow directions by bus from the Transit Plaza above. |
