OK Close to central train station. Free internet (six machines, though some inconsiderate people were chatting online forever). I stayed in a four-bed dorm and the room was reasonably clean and bright (no bunk beds which is good). My room is at the end of the hall, so a little far from bathrooms. Showers are reasonably clean and nice and are separated for guys and gals (though the little sign on the door are sometimes not noticed when the door is open). There is an elevator and it works if you go up from ground to your floor, but if you're coming down, it doesn't seem to come to your floor. There is a bar which is ok (though the bartender is a hot girl and very friendly). No lockers though.

Do not even let your dogs stay here. This place is an absolute sh*thole. There is no breakfast, no internet, no laundry, and the guest kitchen is despicable -- even the pigeons who appear to be living in the kitchen wouldn't cook in there. The door to the room we were in didn't close properly -- the frame work was battered from what looked like break-ins and the window didn't close in chilly Prague. This place almost spoilt our trip and we lost a whole day looking for alternative accommodation to get out of this place.

As a sixty-five-year-old first time traveler to Europe and first time occupant of a hostel (I got a room to myself), I must say that I really enjoyed my two-night stay. Yes, the breakfasts weren't that good. Yes, it wasn't easy to dry myself with the hostel-issued tea towel. Yes, it was quite a challenge to (undress, shower, dry and dress, all in the shower stall) shower in the co-ed facilities -- the first day I felt really clumsy about it, and the second day I felt like I was doing this all my life. Yes, the place could have been cleaner. Yes, there was a lot of noise until about midnight. But the staff were nice, the free internet was usually available, and I felt comfortable and safe.

I've been around the world and this was, by far, the worst hostel I've been to. My wife and I had to share the showers with other naked dudes. There was only one shower room for both male and female. The room was ok at best. The lock on the door was insecure at best. I could not get a good night's rest here. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone.

value for money! there were clean sheets and value for money, and free safe deposit boxes. the rooms were a good size. for £10/night, what more could you ask for? the only problem that we did have was that (apart from July and August) university students in prague were staying there, which meant that we had to keep noise to a minimum to avoid complaints from the very rude Czech students!

My friends got bedbugs. It had a depressing feeling running throughout. The dining area reminded me of the work house in Oliver Twist (you want MORE??!!) and the bathrooms were a little vile. We were just passing through so we didn't stay long. If you need a place to merely crash for one night (and everywhere else is booked) than here is ok. However, I wouldn't recommend staying long.

It's not a five star hotel, but you get what you pay for. We paid about $17 a night, including breakfast, which was fine (except for the coffee!). The rooms are a bit small but they are clean. The showers...I'd suggest showering early in the morning or late at night. Otherwise, they are kind of icky. The location is fantastic. If you are picky, don't stay here. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay, its just fine.

Even if you manage to get over the rancid smell of urine from each bed and the bear-like good looks of the landlad(y) you still cannot ignore the constant calls of the whores outside trying to talk with their mouths full. This place is a must-see, well worth the visit.

There really wasn't that much wrong with this hostel. The rooms were bright, modern and clean and the location was fantastic. The showers were a bit scummy and there were a lot of stairs, but it was cheap and breakfast was fine.

We had a clean, comfortable and reasonably sized triple room in the Pension in June. We didn't have any problem with university students. The location was good — a short walk to the old town or Wenceslas Square, very close to a tram stop and near the main train station, which also has an underground stop.

Though the location was okay, the hostel was not. The rooms are less than average, the showers small and the towels were like washcloths. Our room had an attempted break-in and we found the door was all damaged from trying to be pushed in. I think there are better hostels, with more of an atmosphere, especially for the price.

For the price I paid, I expected a bit more than what I got. The room was absolutely disgusting. One night I had to try and buy light bulbs from the nearby ironmonger because the light bulbs all blew up!!! I don't recommend this sh*thole to any kind of human being.

I booked a private, ensuite, 3-bed room. For this supposed priviledge I paid 1800 CZK (70 USD)/night. The room was definitely not worth it. The room was dirty (rags hung on the radiators, wet hair on the floors, etc), we were given tiny little tea towels for our showers, we were sharing the floor with university students who kept all hours with loud music and hallway conversations, and the breakfast was meagre. This is not the standard I would expect for the high price of 70USD/night. I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your accomodation in Prague.

Dire. Eur 11.00 per head per night, 4 per room as requested, however it was a depressing place ... like a converted mad-house from the movies. Milk isn't supposed to stick firmly to the side of a glass is it? ... On the plus side: The reception staff were polite and helpful.
