Descrizione
One of the two hostels in Anchorage to earn the "thumb's up" designation from the Lonely Planet guide, and highly recommended by Let's Go-Alaska. We are a smaller, more comfortable hostel located close to the airport, yet minutes from downtown, south Anchorage, and the mid-town shopping area. The hostel has a large yard with barbeque, bike storage, and off street parking. A small market and restaurants are nearby; a large 24 hour grocery is 1 mile away. We do not have a curfew or lockout, but do ask everyone to abide by our quiet hours rule.
The hostel has 3 large common areas, 3 fully stocked kitchens, and 4 homestyle baths. Dorm rooms contain 7, 6, or 4 bunks; all dorm rooms have large closets and storage space under bunks. Linens are provided for free. The hostel rents bikes, has internet access, coin-operated laundry facilities, long term storage, phone cards, and offers day rates. We have free local phones, coffee, tea, and cocoa, large lockers, a player piano, weekly potlucks (yum!), and a large library. No membership is required.
