Recensione di Hostelz.com
A hostel on a hill converted from a beautiful old mansion. It's a 5 to 10 minute uphill walk from the nearest metro stop. It's in a quiet area far from the Barcelona nightlife centered around Las Ramblas and the metro stops at midnight, but that might be ok if you're more interested in daytime activities. The hostel has nice common areas with a TV and foosball, but it's usually pretty quiet with only a few people hanging around. The rooms and bathroom facilities are clean and well maintained.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and fluent in many languages. The grounds were beautiful and the location just outside of the busy city was great for relaxing. Bathrooms and showers were clean and in good working condition. Breakfast was filling and provided a variety of items. Internet access .90€ for thirty minutes. Cabinet locks for a returnable deposit of 5€. Free locker storage at reception if you arrive early or need somewhere to store luggage after you check out. The floors of the rooms were a bit dirty and our second evening was more noisy than the first due to a group of young children. Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would return.

Although this hostel is a beautiful rearranged building, I did not like the fact that it was way too loud. After day long strolls trough Barcelona the last thing you need is constant screaming and shouting at 2 a.m. that can be heard very clearly in all rooms since this building, though beautiful, is designed to be open and conected with the exterior. Showers were also not too clean. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was fine.

Excellent hostel — staff very helpful and very friendly. Food excellent, rooms and showers very clean. Lovely views of Barcelona City from the windows at night. Beautiful converted mansion. Thank you very much

A great hostel. It's not as far out of Barcelona as people are saying. You have to get the Metro or a bus, but that's so cheap in Barcelona that it really shouldn't bother you. And if you don't fancy the walk up the hill to the hostel (which is a very pleasant walk), you can always get a bus using the same ticket you've used in the Metro. This really is the best hostel I've stayed in. It may not be city-centre, but you're not far out and you're in a beautiful and quiet area and within walking distance from the hills and forests looking over Barcelona.

Mediocre hostel. The location isn't bad even, if there is a big uphill climb to reach the hostel. The rooms, the common bathroom and the beds aren't really clean. The heat was unbearable in the summer. In the morning they play an irritating music to wake you up.

I thought this hostel was okay at best. The rooms are nice enough, but there were a couple things bugging me. First, there are no plug sockets in the room. Second, there's no way you can lock the rooms during the day, which means that just about everyone can walk in. Third, the hostel closes at 12 p.m. and after that only opens every 30 minutes, which, combined with the fact that it's quite far away from everything, is annoying if you want to go out. The showers were good only after they had been cleaned at mid-day. If you want to take a shower in the evening or in the morning they are really dirty because everybody walks in with shoes. On the plus side, breakfast is included even though it's very sweet. The garden around the building is really nice for hanging around in the evening. There's also a foosball table (Barcelona v Real!!!!). Internet is €0,9 per 30 minutes. Lockers for luggage in the reception area are €1,2 per day; the ones in the rooms are free, though you need a padlock (available for €3 at the reception). And now here's a thing that really bugged me: they say they have a laundry, but it was broken when I stayed here and seemed like it had been broken for quite some time. The reception guy told me that it would be fixed "later that week", which it wasn't. Anyway, I had to hand wash my clothes, which was a bugger since there weren't any plugs for the sinks! The atmosphere also was kind of lacking, since there were a lot of families staying here. I don't know, but that's not what I expect at a youth hostel.

I loved this hostel! The rooms were spacious and clean... huge lockers too. The architecture is incredible, the hostel is a converted Catalan modernist building with high ceilings and a stained glass roof panel. The location is good if you don't want to do lots of partying... quiet area, very relaxed. Very close to Parc Guell, where you can see Casa Gaudi and other cool stuff. The metro stop is about a ten-minute walk from the hostel (beware - some of it is uphill!). The staff were very helpful.. They also have a piano in the reception area (which they kindly let me play :-). All in all, I felt so welcome here and it was great to return to after a hectic day.

Nice place, with an amazing building, but the calling each morning made me feel like I was in military service. Not for real backpackers.
