Malazi is a swahili word meaning "accommodation". Malazi hostel, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro in Moshi, is a family run home that offers affordable, comfortable and clean accommodation for tourists, volunteers, students and reserchers visiting the Kilimanjaro region and its environs. The main aim of Malazi hostel is to give our clients an unforgettable homely atmosphere away from home, in a secure and friendly neighborhood.
Malazi hostel, is conviniently situated a 20 minutes walk from the town centre and public transport is available at a 2 minutes'walk distance. A cab from Moshi town centre costs approximately usd 2.
We are ½ an hour away from Kilimanjaro International Airport, ½ an hour from Mt. Kilimanjaro and 2½ hours away from the famous Lake Manyara and Tarangire national parks popular for wildlife safaris.
We accept and cater for visitors from all over the world visiting Moshi for a few nights or longer and the hostel is designed with enough space to relax and have fun during free time.
