Rio Surf n Stay is a spacious Portuguese colonial house, located opposite from " Macumba Beach" in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, on the outer skirts of the Rio City 30min South from Ipanema. Organized and run by a kiwi and Brazilian Couple, both are well traveled surfers.
Its 100m from the beach and surrounded by Coconut Palm trees and tropical plants, the perfect spot to relax in a hammock after a day of adventures. Many birds, butterflies and monkeys pass by.
It's set in the middle of 7 Surfing beaches making easy access by foot, bike and car. The secluded beaches Prainha and Grumari have amazing jungle mountain backdrop with no houses, they are classed the best and most consistent Surf beaches in Rio. Prainha on a hot weekend day is the favorite hangout beach for Surfers, famous people and Brazilian hot bodies.
Offered from the house:
*Daily surf transport for beginner and advanced surfers
*Surfboard Rentals of all types and in good condition.
* Beginner and novice Surf Lessons are in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Soft boards are used and uv shirts/wetsuits are provided.
*Skate park is located on the front of the Recreio beach; boards are available at the house.

• To get there:
• By BUS - From Rio Novo Bus Station, Copacabana, Ipanema, Botafogo take Bus 175 – Recreio, S-20 or a white Van to Barra shopping . Then take the 702 0r 703 Mini bus to Rua 8 W in Macumba beach
• Get off at surf shop Rua 8w (rua do surf) then turn right, walk 100m first road turn right , second house on left #1140. White and brown fence brown gate.
• BUS or TAXI- From the Airport GIG get a bus to Barra Shopping $10reais and another to Recreio (703,702). Get off at 8w then continue as above.
• - Or we can arrange you a driver to pick you up-
