The Chimuri Nature Lodge is within a private 50 acre reserve bordering the Kekoldi Indian Reserve. 500 meters from the CAribbean sea, 1.5 kilometers north of the beachfront community of Puerto Viejo. The Reserve is teeming with life - hike the 2 km Chimuri Loop trail and be taken in by the rainforest. Over 300 species of birds have been counted in the reserve and its immediate surroundings. The abundance of seed and fruits attract mammals, reptiles and amphibians, including anteaters, agoutis, sloths, howler and capuchin monkeys, poison dart frogs and green iguanas. Within the forst setting, we offer you a more natureal experience, awakening your senses and calming your spirit.
In typical Bri Bri construction, the Lodge features comfortable rooms with dorm beds as well as one and two bedroom cabinas that can be rented by groups and families. This is a great place to take a deep breath and immerse yourself in the natural surroundings ... You will hear the rustling of the canopy in the sea breeze, the nearby waterfalls, or the rhythm of the ocean's breakers.
